Oh, today is such a great day! Why, you ask? But there's the European Championship of Basket starting today! Oh god, I am THAT excited! Well, apart from the fact that I will have to be at the pub when the match is on. And that the VCR isn't currently set up. And I don't think I've got a VHS I could register it on anyway. BUT WHO CARES! Basketball! Lots of it! On a big screen! I honestly can't wait! I only found out yesterday that it was in Spain, though. :( Maybe, if I'd known before I could have forced persuaded someone of the guys to come to Spain with me and see it live. And maybe get a chance to see Nuri, too, before or after. ;P

...

Then again, I did have something to keep me occupied these past few days.

(Here I am cackling madly, in a very evil-overlord kind of style. It's doesn't come over too well if you're reading a written text, so I figured it might be worth mentioning.)

So... do you remember an old entry of mine? The one where I basically went nuts and started talking about incomprehensible projects/plans/whatever? (The first person who says "yeah, okay, we've read your journal, now would you please say which entry you mean" will get a slap under the head.) Refusing then to elaborate further? This one here.

So, yeah, my idea of a HP tribute for the end of the series is to focus on only two secondary characters, with a heavy accent on an entirely hypothetical romantic relationship between them, as recounted by just one person in the whole fandom - and GUESS WHAT, IT'S THAT PERSON'S BIRTHDAY TODAY.

(Which, yes, is why this day is great at all. :P I do love basket something atrocious and obnoxious, but this is more important. :D)

(Also, see why I didn't want to say which deadline I'd chosen, days ago? Kinda hard keeping it a surprise from her if I had. :P)

You know, as if last Saturday wasn't the birthday of one of the best persons I've ever met.

Because, you see, unless you already figured it out - and I did leave a few heavy hints - it turns out last Saturday was the birthday of someone who comes very, very close to being the best friend one could hope for. (And I'm appallingly late. Shit.) The kind of person you talk with for not even a week and already feel like you've known your whole life. (And I'm raping the English language, too.) The kind of person you end up opening completely up to without even realizing it, no matter how long it can take you with anyone, and you never, ever come to regret it. And, you know, as if that wasn't enough, she's also smart, funny, beautiful, clever, sweet, incredibly caring, very very inspiring (Oona and I both can testimony to it :P), and...

Well, she's Ni. She's special. :D

I mean, we're building a temple to her. (Complete with a statue.) Should I add more? :P

Another little sketch.. I did this one last night, listening to "Iris". Yes, Goo goo dolls' song. (I heard it by chance some days ago, and it keeps on nagging..) One of the fluffiest songs ever written-and still I like it so much. oh, well, there's not really something I can do about it. ^^"
